3 Shillong Lajong Players Train at FC Vestsjælland
In the first collaborative effort between our two clubs, three players from Shillong Lajong FC were selected to go for a three-week training program at FC Vestsjælland in Slagelse, Denmark. Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Lalramluaha and Lalthuammawia Ralte have been training in Slagelse for more than one week and are already well settled in their unfamiliar environs. The players have already begun to experience professional Danish training and European-style football that they can bring home to India.
According to Gert Hansen, Technical Director of FC Vestsjælland, “The players are very eager to learn, and are giving everything on the training pitch. We are very excited at this collaborative effort between the two clubs as it sees the fruition of our plans that got us involved in Indian football in the first place. This exposure that the players have got will go a long way towards improving their skills and will be an asset to Lajong in the coming season. We hope to have more such opportunities for other Indian players.”
