Football, Fruit and Tree – AMG at TiECON Chennai 2015
Mr. Sandeep “Sunny” Narang, Chairman of the Anglian Omega Group (India), and Chief Mentor of the Anglian Management Group (AMG) recently spoke at the 2015 TiECON Chennai event earlier this month.
TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) is a non-profit global community that welcomes entrepreneurs from all over the world. TiE was founded in 1992 by a group of successful entrepreneurs and is currently the world’s largest entrepreneurial organization, according to their website.
TiECON Chennai is a two-day Conference and Awards Night to commemorate and bring together some of the most disruptive, successful and daring entrepreneurs of our time here in India. It included speakers such as Ronnie Screwvala (Founder, UTV Group), Mahesh Murthy (Seedfund), and Rajiv Lochan (MD, CEO of The Hindu).
Sunny spoke in the Offbeat Entrepreneurship session along with Vibhu Natrajan (Founder and CEO, Vimaana Landscapes) and James Joseph (CEO, Jackfruit365). During his talk he spent a few minutes highlighting co-building ecology and enterprises together with start-ups, NGO’S, sports Federations/Associations, clubs, sports leagues, government, communities and fans.
Sunny spoke about some of AMG’s ventures in Indian football, from Shillong Lajong FC and Guwahati FC in the North-East to Awadh Mutineers in East UP to multiple activities throughout Delhi–NCR. He also stressed the importance of building coalitions across India.
Sunny highlighted the company’s efforts in branding and team management as well as other areas in which AMG have played a leading role in helping raising the standard of football in India such as,
